# Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 10th September 2026\ Effective: 18th September 2026

***

### Introduction

**TwiLite** does **not**, and will **never**, collect & store messages, user data, or server data without explicit notice & consent. Additionally, **TwiLite** will **never** sell or give away any data that it does store, if any is stored.

The developer(s) of **TwiLite** firmly believes in a "we don't want your data, keep it away from us" process. Thus, **TwiLite** will be developed as "stateless" as possible (i.e: without needing to store any information or data at all). If features and functions are not possible to develop "stateless", we will explicitly include them on this **Privacy Policy**, covering exactly what is needed, for what purpose, and how that data can be removed from **TwiLite** on request.

**TwiLite**'s source code is viewable publicly on GitHub ( <https://github.com/TwilightZebby/TwiLite> )

### Data Collection & Purposes

**TwiLite** currently has very minimal data collection, which is listed below.

#### Logging

**TwiLite** will log when it has been added ("authorized") or removed ("deauthorized") as a Server App or User App.

The information included in this log is as follows:

* **When added as a Server App:**
  * The ID and display/user name of the User who added **TwiLite** to a Server
  * The ID and name of the Server that **TwiLite** was added to
  * The OAuth2 Scopes that **TwiLite** was authorized with (commonly `application.commands` and `bot`)
* **When added as a User App:**
  * The ID and display/user name of the User who added **TwiLite** to their account
  * The OAuth2 Scopes that **TwiLite** was authorized with (commonly `application.commands`)
* **When removed as a User App:**
  * The ID and display/user name of the User who removed **TwiLite** from their account

This is logged purely for informational (for tracking **TwiLite**'s growth) and anti-spam measures. It will *not* be given or sold to anyone else.

#### Notifications Module

To allow the functionality of posting "Social Notifications", **TwiLite** offers the *optional* input of the following to be stored:

* **Twitch Notifications** (for posting when a Twitch Streamer goes live)
  * Discord ID of Roles to ping (optional) and of Text-based Channels post the notification into
  * Twitch ID of the Twitch Channel to receive notifications for

These are only stored when manually inputted by Server Admins via use of the `/notifier twitch` Slash Command.

Should the Discord Server in question no longer want this stored, they may use the relevant buttons in the `/notifier twitch` Slash Command.

### Use of Locale Data

**TwiLite** makes use of the publicly available locale data Discord sends to all Server/User Apps using Discord's public API for "Interactions" (eg: Slash Commands, Context Commands, Select Menus, Buttons, and Modals).

This locale data only includes what language the User and/or Server have set in Discord's in-client settings pages.\
It is only used for knowing which language **TwiLite** should send its responses in, and is *not* tracked in any way. Furthermore, User locale data will *never* be stored at all.

You can see the public API Documentation, regarding what the locale data includes, on the official Discord API documentation pages here:

* [API Locale Reference](https://discord.com/developers/docs/reference#locales)
* [Locale field in Interaction objects](https://discord.com/developers/docs/interactions/receiving-and-responding#interaction-object)

### Payments for Premium Offerings

Since the v3 update, **TwiLite** does offer a small handful of optional extras & early access features via a Premium subscription called "**TwiLite Inferno**".

This is offered via Discord's built-in App Monetization features. As such, **TwiLite** does *not* and can*not* see, store, or share your payment methods/details in any way. Please see Discord's own [Privacy Policies](https://discord.com/privacy) for how they handle your payment methods.

### Final Notes

Due to limitations with **TwiLite** being hosted on CloudFlare Workers, and how Discord's API works for HTTP-only Apps, **TwiLite** will *not* be able to automatically remove any stored Server or User data when removed/deauthorized from said Server or User.

If you want such data removed, you can do so via usage of **TwiLite**'s commands. The relevant commands are named in the above sections of this policy.

For those who added **TwiLite** to their Discord account as a User App: If you no longer want it as a User App, you can freely remove it at any time by navigating to Discord's User Settings -> Authorized Apps, and revoking **TwiLite** from that page.

For those who added **TwiLite** to their Discord Server as a Server App: If you no longer want it as a Server App, you can freely remove it at any time by either using the "Kick Member" functions, or going to Discord's Server Settings -> Integrations -> Apps, and removing **TwiLite**.

The lead developer of **TwiLite**, TwilightZebby, is contactable for matters regarding **TwiLite** via GitHub. Perferrably via opening an Issue Ticket or Discussion on **TwiLite**'s [GitHub Page](https://github.com/TwilightZebby/TwiLite).

Please also see [Discord's own Privacy Policy](https://discord.com/privacy).
